Ioana's experience inclues disputes arising out of the performance of FIDIC contracts, being also involved in several actions in annulment of arbitral awards. In addition, Ioana provided legal assistance and expertise in monitoring Priority Axis III projects within POSCCE programme, including the amendment of financing agreements utilized on a national level.

Assisted an important local construction and engineering company in a high-stake preliminary ruling procedure in front of the Court of Justice of the European Union regarding the interpretation of article 57 (4) letter g) of the Directive 2014/24/EU on public procurement and repealing Directive 2004/18/EC. The preliminary ruling arose in connection with the interpretation of “significant or persistent deficiencies”, as grounds for exclusion and the team obtained a favourable decision.
Represented a governmental institution responsible for communications and the information society in providing legal assistance and expertise in monitoring Priority Axis III projects within POSCCE as an External Legal Expert for consisting in: providing legal advice in relation to EU funding, review of the applicable financing contracts, review of implementation aspects and termination of financing contracts.
Assisted a National Railways Company (Romania) in connection with a complex ICC arbitration arising out of a major railway infrastructure project with claims in excess of EUR 7 million.
Represented the Romanian subsidiary of a global design and engineering company in front of the Romanian courts of law in multiple complex disputes arising out of a technical assistance contract for the performance of General Transport Masterplan.
Assisted the National Railways Company (Romania) in connection with a complex ICC arbitration arising out of a major railway infrastructure project with claims in excess of EUR 6 million.
Represented a major construction and engineering company in a connection with a complex ICC arbitration arising out of the performance of a FIDIC contract, with claims in excess of EUR 1.5 million.
Represented two important construction companies, in a complex ICC arbitration arising out of the performance of a construction contract for the modernization of an airport in Romania.
Assisted a major Spanish Engineering Design company in connection with claims deriving from supervision and design agreement regarding works of national interest.
