Musat & Asociatii advised tech giant Google LLC (Google) on all Romanian legal aspects of its acquisition of Fitbit for a total equity value of approximately USD 2.1 billion.
Founded 13 years ago, Fitbit is currently one of the leading producers of smart health and fitness wearable devices, with more than 29 million active users worldwide and 120 million devices sold in over 100 countries.
The transaction was announced on November 1, 2019 and completed on January 14, 2021, following a 15-month antitrust review process.
