Muşat & Asociaţii assisted Premier Capital in the acquisition of the McDonald’s Romanian local operations

Bucharest, January 28th, 2016 – Mușat & Asociații assisted Premier Capital in the acquisition of McDonald’s local operations, transaction which included all 67 McDonald’s restaurants in Romania, 19 McCafé coffee shops and the local McDonald’s franchise.

Mușat & Asociații team was involved in all the stages of the acquisition process – both in the negotiations conducted by Premier Capital with McDonald’s, and those with the bank financing a part of the acquisition price, BRD-Groupe Société Générale – and included 9 lawyers, among which, Răzvan Stoicescu, Partner, Miruna Suciu, Partner, Vlad Cordea, Managing Associate, Bogdan Ghera, Associate, Adrian Danciu, Associate and Raluca Alexandru, Associate. Moreover, Mușat & Asociații has been involved in all the aspects related to the completion, and fulfilment of the conditions subsequent to the acquisition operation.

For Premier Capital, Romania becomes the sixth market where the company holds the McDonald’s franchise and it will also be the largest. By comparison, in all the other five markets there are approximately 60 restaurants. The Maltese company is the McDonald’s franchisor also in Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Greece.
