Muşat şi Asociaţii continues to be actively involved in major projects in the renewable energy sector, assisting Enel Green Power, part of the Italian group Enel dedicated to developing and managing renewable energy, in connection with the development of the Salbatica 2 wind project, with an installed capacity of 72 MW.
“The Salbatica 2 wind project, set up by Enel Green Power, represents a new achievement of Muşat & Asociaţii in the renewable energy sector. The mandate included assisting Enel Green Power during the negotiations undertaken for the aqusition of the land, performing an extensive due diligenge report, assistance in drafting the transaction documents and providing advice during the closing and post-acquisition phases, as well as in connection with a variety of tax matters concerning the calculation of applicable taxes. On our part, the project required a team of seven lawyers specialised in energy and mergers & aquistions, as wel as in tax and commercial legal issues”, says Miruna Suciu, Partner Muşat & Asociaţii and head of the team.
