Continuing its tradition of more than 15 years in supporting, by means of scholarships, traineeships and sponsorships, talented young people finding themselves at the beginning of their legal career, Musat & Asociatii has recently sponsored the 11th edition of the Regional Debate Competition for Students- Muntenia 2009, which took place during November 7th-8th.
“We, as a firm, are constantly involved in training and supporting talented young professionals by means of traineeships and financial support granted every year. We encourage students’ involvement in debate contests and other extracurricular activities, as we consider that only by being actively engaged in various simulations and case studies during university years, the most passionate of them may improve their academic knowledge by developing complementary argumentation and rhetorical skills, which are essential to succeed in this profession”, says Mona Muşat, Co-Managing Partner Muşat & Asociaţii.
This year’s Debates for Students Regional Contest was carried out in the American Parliamentary format, inspired by the British Parliamentary debates, and brought together 23 teams from the University of Bucharest (Faculties of Law, Political Sciences, Psychology and Mathematics), the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Institute of Theater and Film, University of Medicine and the Academy of Economic Studies. The competition was organized by the Law School students in partnership with The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) and the Romanian Association of Debate, Oratory and Rhetoric (ARDOR).
Earlier this year, Musat & Asociatii ensured participation of three students from the Law Faculty of the Nicolae Titulescu University in the “Investment Arbitration Moot Court” international contest, organized by Goethe University in Frankfurt during March 4th -6th.
