Muşat & Asociaţii has consolidated its managing structure by appointing Mona Muşat as Co-Managing Partner and Marius Bârlădeanu as Equity Partner. “Throughout the recent years, Mona has been constantly involved in coordinating and supervising several activities within the firm, apart from her professional duties as Partner. She was appointed Co-Managing Partner in recognition of her substantial contribution to increasing the firm’s turnover and developing the business and client portfolio”, stated Cătălin Băiculescu, Co-Managing Partner.
With more than 13 years of experience within Muşat & Asociaţii, Mona Muşat was appointed Partner in December 2002 and is currently coordinating the Real Estate & Corporate Finance practices, being involved in major projects for international clients such as La Caixa, ING Real Estate Development, Grupo Lar, Erste Bank, Generali Imobilien, Teesland iOG, Tornator, Equest Partners. As Co-Managing Partner, Mona Muşat shall supervise the knowledge management and PR & Marketing systems, office management activities, as well as oversee the implementation of the firm’s development strategy.
Marius Bârlădeanu, one of the firm’s most valuable senior associates, was promoted to Partnership. He mainly specializes in real estate projects, constructions and infrastructure, having managed and been involved in complex projects exceeding 900 million euros. “Marius’s appointment acknowledges, first of all, his professional skills and his involvement to the management of an impressive portfolio of clients and projects, some of which extremely innovative for the Romanian market. With over 11 years of legal expertise, Marius Bârlădeanu specializes in providing legal advice throughout all the stages of real estate projects, from acquisition, organization in view of developing and obtaining financing, to agreement negotiation specific for the project development and financing stage, for major clients such as Nova Imobiliare, BERD, PPF Investments, TNT, Piraeus Real Estate, Bank of Cyprus, OTP Bank, Unicredit. To the same extent, Marius Bârlădeanu has acquired vast expertise in commercial and corporate law issues, specific for to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures set-up, corporate liability, shareholding and share capital issues, to corporate governance and restructuring.
Founded 19 years ago by Gheorghe Muşat, Muşat & Asociaţii Attorneys-at-Law obtained over 18.5 million euros in turnover and 10 million euros profit in 2008, a 30% increase on year-to-year basis.
