Bucharest, 21 January 2020

Mușat & Asociații announces the promotion of nine lawyers across the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Healthcare & Pharma, Taxation and Litigation & Arbitration practice areas, effective as of January 2020. The promotions come as a recognition of their constant contribution to the success of the projects they advised on and of their commitment to the firm and its values.

Dan Minoiu was promoted to Partner. Alina Man, Andra Mihalache, Andrei Bran, and Adrian Danciu were promoted to Managing Associates, while Ana Maria Burada, Andrada Popescu Dragomir, Cristian Cepeși, and Adrian Cristolovean are now Senior Associates.

Dan Minoiu has a professional experience of over 12 years and has been a part of the Musat & Asociatii team since 2010. Over the years he’s advised many businesses active in regulated markets, including pharmaceutical and medical devices companies, manufacturers of medical devices, food supplements,  and cosmetics, clinics and private hospitals, as well as companies in the IT, FMCG, insurance and agriculture sectors. Dan advised renowned international companies in many landmark cases in front of the competent authorities, on complex issues related to Mergers & Acquisitions, business transfers and other transactions, as well as in relation to regulatory and compliance matters in connection with the supply and promotion of products and services on the Romanian market. Dan was part of the team that advised investment fund Penta Investments on the acquisition of A&D Pharma Group, Romania’s largest medical distributor and operator of more than 600 pharmacies.  This was on the largest transaction on the domestic pharmaceutical market in the last years.

Alina Man and Adrian Danciu both have a extensive experience advising on M&A transactions. Adrian specialises in complex M&A matters and advised important international and domestic players across a wide range of industries, such as military, naval, retail,  pharmaceutical, IT, construction and manufacturing. Alina holds degrees in both Law and Economics and specialises in both consultancy work and fiscal litigation (including against measures taken by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration and the Court of Auditors) and advises a large number of domestic and international clients active in the energy, automotive, real estate, FMCG and the pharmaceutical industries.

Andrei Bran and Andra Mihalache have extensive experience defending clients’ interests in M&A matters in complex civil litigation, with a special focus on the restitution of properties that have been taken over by the comunist regime in an abusive manner, commercial litigation and administrative disputes, restructuring procedures or insolvency proceedings. Andrei and Andra are also known for expertly managing complex, delicate, and controversial issues in relation to banking, insurance and leasing operation matters, frequently acting for clients such as big corporations, banks or other financial institutions.

Ana Maria Burada, Andrada Popescu Dragomir, Cristian Cepeși, and Adrian Cristolovean are experienced rigourous lawyers that advise and represent domestic and international companies in a wide range of industries in relation to corporate and commercial law, civil law, administrative law and criminal law.

We are thrilled by the professional evolution and dedication towards excellence of the young lawyers we promoted today. This decision naturally follows the firm’s growth path in both consultancy work and litigation. We are proud to recognise our colleagues’  merits, we thank them for their efforts so far and wish them good luck in their new roles,” said Mr Paul Buta, Deputy Managing Partner.
